IT Infrastructure Support Technician

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible IT Hardware Technician to handle computer hardware, networking, operating system, and software-related technical issues. The candidate should be capable of diagnosing and resolving both routine and critical hardware and software problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
- Troubleshoot critical hardware issues, including motherboard, RAM, hard disk/SSD, power supply, display, and peripheral problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and required software.
- Troubleshoot software errors, application issues, driver problems, and system performance issues.
- Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and networking-related issues.
- Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Perform data backup, system formatting, OS installation, and software configuration when required.
- Identify the root cause of recurring technical problems and implement suitable solutions.
- Maintain records of hardware, software, repairs, replacements, and service activities.
- Provide technical support to employees/users and resolve issues within the required time.
- Escalate issues to senior technical teams or vendors when necessary.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, switches, and basic networking.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve critical hardware failures.
- Knowledge of hardware installation, replacement, and maintenance.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple technical issues.
- Good communication and customer/user-support skills.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. / BCA / relevant technical qualification in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in IT hardware support or technical support is preferred.
- Freshers with strong practical hardware troubleshooting knowledge may also be considered.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to handle urgent and critical technical issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet resolution timelines.
- Willingness to travel to client/branch locations if required.
- Valid driving licence would be an advantage, if field support is part of the role.

- Ensure IT equipment is maintained properly and remains operational.
